Student Activities

 

Join our Friday afternoons, workshops and the weekend program!

 

We strongly encourage you to join the IIA Activity Program during your time with us. After-school activities and workshops give you the chance to make friends with other students and to practise speaking English with native speakers.

 

1. Students are offered optional activities such as:

  • Movies once a week to improve listening and comprehension
  • Soccer matches vs. Aussies – Good for language learning and exercise
  • Job Plus - personal help with job searches and arranging interviews. We offer 3 regular workshops: Resume Writing, Practice Job Interview and Australia Work Culture
  • Talk shops

 

2. A school barbeques every 12 weeks and a cultural event every 6 weeks.

 

3. Guest speakers from a wide range of further education providers.

 

4. IIA also coordinates a weekend program offering activities. The weekend program might include: 

  • full day or weekend trips to famous tourist attractions such as Australia Zoo, theme parks, the Gold and Sunshine Coasts, Byron Bay and Fraser, Moreton and Stradbroke Islands.
