Costs in Brisbane are relatively low, but the standard of living is high. This has helped to earn Brisbane the reputation of being Australia’s most liveable city.

The Department of Immigration, Multicultural and Indigenous Affairs (DIMIA) suggests students budget for $12,500 per year for living expenses (in addition to tuition fees). However, it needs to be noted that living costs will vary from individual to individual depending on personal priorities and lifestyle.

Queensland is Australia’s holiday playground and Brisbane is located within easy reach of many of Australia’s major tourist attractions. The world-famous beaches of the Gold and Sunshine Coasts, the theme parks of the Gold Coast and the islands of Moreton Bay are nearby and can be visited easily on day trips. Native flora and fauna can be enjoyed first-hand in nearby parks, wildlife reserves and rainforests.
