General English + Bar/Bakery/Coffee making skills + IIA Job Support Workshop

GE Plus+ Job skills Programs are an exciting new way for students on a Working Holiday visa to improve their overall English, while at the same time having access to specialized training that will help them to find employment.

At the beginning of the program, students join a General English class at IIA at an appropriate level. They will interact with students from many countries and will develop their reading, writing, listening and speaking skills. After they have finished the General English section of the program, they will have the opportunity to gain certification in an industry of their choosing.

Bar skills Training

This course includes Bar Operations and Responsible Service of Alcohol(RSA). It covers fundamental skills required in bar-related jobs including customer service, beer, wine and spirit pouring, cocktail-making and legal requirements for serving alcohol in a bar

Bakery Skills Training

You will learn to produce and decorate cakes, biscuits, pastry and yeast products. You will also learn how to use baking equipment and machinery and how to work safely and effectively in the retail baking sector.

Coffee Making Training

This course covers the fundamental skills for a person to work in a coffee shop or venue that serves coffee. It focuses on the areas of non-alcoholic beverages, including the preparation and service of espresso coffees.
