Why Australia?
Australia is increasingly becoming the country of choice for overseas students wanting to study English. As a study destination, Australia has a lot to offer international students:
  • a safe place to live and study
  • a clean and natural environment
  • a multi-cultural society
  • a low cost of living

People in Australia are lucky to enjoy a high level of personal safety, political stability and a stable currency.

From the natural red dirt of Uluru and the outback, to the crystal clear waters of the Great Barrier Reef, Australia has some of the most accessible and pristine natural expanses in the world. In particular, our coastal areas are famous for white sand beaches and great surf.

Australians value cultural diversity. As an overseas student you have a unique opportunity to mix with others from a wide variety of backgrounds. Australians pride themselves on being friendly and welcoming.

The cost of living in Australia is relatively low, especially in comparison to other English speaking countries, such as the UK or the USA. This makes studying in Australia more accessible and means you have more money to enjoy your time here, whether that be simply having fun or pursuing further education.

Cost of Living
Compared to other major cities in Australia, Brisbane has a low cost, but high standard of living. This fact has helped earn Brisbane the reputation of being Australia’s most liveable city.

The Department of Immigration, Multicultural and Indigenous Affairs (DIMIA) suggests students budget for $12,500 per year for living expenses (in addition to tuition fees). However, it needs to be noted that living costs will vary from individual to individual depending on personal priorities and lifestyle choices.
