Arriving at Brisbane Airport
Brisbane Airport has two terminals: an international and a domestic terminal.
Transport options on arrival
- Airtrain: The Airport Rail Link has regular services between both domestic and international terminals and the Brisbane CBD. Cost to the city is approximately $15 and the trip will take around 25 minutes. You will need to have Australian dollars (AUD$15) to buy a ticket. For further information including a timetable: www.airtrain.com.au.
- Taxis: generally available outside both terminals (If there isn't a taxi waiting in the taxi stand, ask airport staff to help you to call a taxi). The approximate cost to the city is $40 but this will vary according to the route taken, traffic and your destination. Suburbs to the west or south of the city will be much more expensive. You will need to have Australian dollars to pay the taxi. Some credit cards are accepted. Check this with the driver before getting into the taxi.
- Airport Greeting Service: If you have booked this service, an IIA representative will meet you as you leave the customs area (International) or the luggage carousel (Domestic). Look for the IIA sign with your name. Please do not leave the arrival area until you have made contact with our representative. To book this service, you must pre-pay IIA and provide your flight arrival details 10 days prior to your arrival in Brisbane. If your flight plans change, please give IIA 72 hours (3 days) notice of the changes.
Our representative will take you to your accommodation.
